For Emine Saglam, being with family for dinner during Ramadan is what it’s all about. She likes to experiment with new recipes with her three daughters as they break fast during iftar. Tonight, she’ll be making misket meatballs (minced beef and lamb), sarma (stuffed vine leaves), dolma (stuffed peppers), artichoke, and cowpea salad. Her mom taught her everything she knows about cooking, and Emine hopes to do the same with her young girls. Join us at the table as we share a meal with Emine and her family in Istanbul, Turkey. Video for the Great Big Story.
